It’s been a struggle to write lately.
I mean, should I share pictures of our family vacation at Lake Lure or should we talk about the imminent collapse of our economy?
Decisions, decisions.
It feels trivial to share recipes for Audrey’s First Day of School Peanut Butter Cookies when it seems like our country is being run into the ground on purpose.
What’s a stay-at-home-Angela to do?
At some point, while still acknowledging that there are some really evil people in high places, I will also acknowledge that it’s always been that way. And I will remember that God is still God, and he’s always in control.
I will be aware, and I will remain awake. But I will also do what God has called me to do, regardless of whether the road ahead seems to be teeming with wolves.
I will bake cookies to celebrate Audrey’s first day of school. I will decorate for fall. I will pack lunches and clean the house and do laundry. I will make dinner. I will read bedtime stories. I will love my family well.
I will continue to spend my time and resources wisely. I will invest in the people God has placed in my life. And I will fix my eyes on Jesus and know that an easy, safe life is never promised this side of heaven.
I will also speak truth, even when others wish I wouldn’t. Truth about Jesus and salvation, and truth about what is actually going on in the world around us. People don’t have to listen, but at least I will know I’ve tried to shine some light on the darkness.
Here’s a quick reality clip for you today:
The WEF (represented by Dr. Yuval Harari below) have trained up many world leaders, including PM Justin Trudeau of Canada and President Emmanuel Marcon of France. Not suspicious at all. And now, the UN has decided to team up with them to put the pedal to the metal on Agenda 2030. No big deal.
And here’s a couple pictures from our family vacation! Multi-tasking!

Alright, y’all. I think that’s all I have for today.
Stay salty.
Angela
