Truth untethered to reality is not true.
Facts trump feelings.
And the truth is, I can’t hide my feelings when people declare that their feelings, are in fact, truth.
Because if their declarations are contrary to what God has said, they are, by definition, in the words of Dwight Schrute, “False!”
But truth does exist, and we can know it, if we want to.
Here goes.
The truth is that God is real.
The truth is we are living, breathing miracles.
We are intelligently designed by an intelligent designer.
Male and female he created us. No mistakes.
God created a beautiful, vast world teeming with all sorts of life and water and mountains and aardvarks.
He has placed his law on our hearts so we can know right from wrong.
He has given us his Word so we can know who he is, what he wants from us, and what he has done for us.
We broke relationship with God by choosing to sin.
He made a way to restored relationship through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus for those who will repent and believe.
11 out of Jesus’ twelve closest friends went to their torturous deaths because they refused to deny he was the Son of God. The last guy was exiled on a remote island.
Archaeology, history, and common sense align with the reality of the God revealed in the Bible. Ask yourself, why are we in the year 2026 AD..What does AD stand for again?
He has shown up throughout history and is still showing up today.
On a personal note, God changed my heart and my desires from self and sin to desiring to live life his way, and it is infinitely so much sweeter.
His boundaries (found in Scripture) are good and lead to life.
His boundaries keep us from things that harm us and others.
He still does miracles.
I hear story after story of him appearing to Muslims in dreams and visions, calling them to himself.
He has spoken to me similarly, though I don’t broadcast that because it is just a confirmation of the greatest truth:
HE IS.
No other gods. No other way.
Don’t place your faith anywhere else, or you will be utterly let down.
“Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie!” – Psalm 40:4
