See ya, Strawberry Lemonade

When I was 23 my friends thought it would be great idea to go apply at the Cheesecake Factory, so I went along and we all got hired.

The money was great and it was an exciting job, but 14 years later it was beginning to feel like the movie Groundhog Day, and I knew it was time.

I prayed about it, complained about it, worried about it, and then rejoiced when I got the text message from Alicia that confirmed what God was telling me: “You can quit. It is time. I’ve got you.”

There was also a part in there about being able to go after the dreams God has placed in my heart, and that is scary and amazing because I can’t imagine anything more wonderful than a career where I get to connect with people one on one (either in my pjs on the phone or in person over some good food) and help them take back their health and financial well-being, all on my own schedule.

So, yeah, making my wellness franchise my only job would be a dream come true and it is already lucrative but I’m not to the point where it’s ok to quit my job yet.

I did it anyway.

Tomorrow is my last day.

I won’t stay out of fear, because He who calls me is faithful. This is me getting out of the boat…

I’ll keep you updated. I can’t wait to see what God’s going to do.
