No one likes being lied to. Just kidding!!!Lately, it seems people only want to hear whatever makes them feel justified in their sexual choices, their victimhood, and their godless worldview; regardless of facts, science, and commonly accepted (until now) universal constructs.

I guess it’s no surprise; maybe it’s just a little more obvious now. Or maybe I’ve been the one with my head in the sand. I can’t unsee it now, though. A vast majority of “science-followers” accept straight-up deception as gospel truth, when it clearly isn’t. “They” know who they are.

So, why are an alarming number of people so quick to abandon rational thought and declare their feelings the arbitrator of truth? Because they reject God. They are following the spirit of this world, which is being fed by the other guy they don’t believe in: Satan.

“You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” -John 8:44

Satan’s agenda is to lie, steal, kill, and destroy. If we are doing the same, guess who we belong to? Not only that, if we stay silent in the face of lying, stealing, killing, and destruction we are culpable. Christians, I’m talking to you.

I’m talking to me.

Guys, we are called to love. But we are never called to applaud and perpetuate mass-deception that leaves people broken, confused, angry, and full of hate toward anyone who doesn’t echo the narrative du jour.

It is telling when you are fearful to say that men can’t be women. Here I go:

Men can’t be women. Women can’t be men.

It’s one of the most basic truths in the world. God created TWO genders, yes, just two, and they are not interchangeable. To say they are is a lie.

Let’s try another one:

Abortion is murder.

This is not up for debate. It is what it is. If you have had an abortion, you have killed someone. Your own child. I’m not being mean. I’m just telling the truth.

If you are a Christian and you disagree with the two obviously true statements above, I would encourage you to read a book that comes highly recommended by some of today’s leading truth-tellers. It’s called The Bible. Stop trying to make people feel good about choices that wreck their lives and separate them from God.

Be careful who you listen to. These days, “pastors” and high-profile Christian speakers are shouting deception from their little platforms right alongside everyone else. It’s not harmless. It’s unspeakably damaging.

For example, telling Christians it can be God’s will for them to get divorced and marry someone of the same sex if it feels good is a lie from hell. I’m talking to you, Glennon Doyle. I love Rosaria Butterfield’s response to Jen Hatmaker’s affirming of same-sex marriage found here. Rosaria was an outspoken lesbian who met Christ and her surrender to his love and truth is absolutely beautiful.

Nabeel Qureshi, who sadly passed from stomach cancer recently, said it best in a talk on coming to faith in Christ after being raised in Islam. He went through school with countless Christians who never shared the gospel with him, and his conclusion was that they either didn’t care about his salvation, or they didn’t really believe what they claimed to believe. Which one sounds better? We have to stop holding so tightly to our popularity and speak the truth, even when our voice shakes.

Some people will “unfriend” us. That’s ok.

The truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth.

The Bible says: Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. -Romans 12:9 We don’t get to choose what truth is. God does. Jesus is the way, the TRUTH, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through him. If you don’t agree, maybe you’re not a Christian. Own it.

I love you. I am just a sinner who has been brought from death to life by God’s grace, and I want the same for everyone else. So few people are willing to speak out against a culture that is leading people to the slaughter. Why? What are we afraid of? Being cancelled? That’s coming anyway. Where are you, men of God? Where are you, courageous sisters in Christ?

Time is short, and the fence won’t hold.
