Two Years

It’s been a wild ride so far.

We were married six months when the Coronavirus hit. I am so thankful we had normalcy the entirety of our dating, engagement, wedding, and first six months of marriage! Praise the Lord! Getting used to being a wife and a brand new mom (to a four year old haha) at the same time was challenging enough without a pandemic!

The Lord has been good to us. Although we have faced our share of sadness together (the loss of my grandma, the loss of a baby), we have a great marriage and a sweet bond within our little family of three. We have inside jokes and we try our best to treat one another with kindness and respect. We have a supportive and loving circle of friends and family. We follow Jesus together, imperfectly. It is a good life, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

When you marry the right person, life is so much sweeter.

I thank God every day for you, babe. Even if you don’t know how to load the dishwasher.

I can’t believe it has only been two years – seems like you’ve been a part of us forever. It has been such a blessing to see my son being loved so well. And don’t let that husband of your’s fool you about loading a dishwasher – that was a required skill in the Matthews’ household so put him to work!!
